The Chatterbox is a small, privately-run business in Nyon, Switzerland, that specialises in teaching English to children and adults. We offer a curriculum-based English language training that is both creative and personalised.
Our Approach
Our philosophy is that learning can and should be a fun and creative process but one that is guided by sound pedagogic principles.
We use the Oxford University Press Family and Friends and inSight curriculums for our regular schedule of classes during the school year.
Private and on-line lessons can also be tailored to suit individual needs.

Our students range in age from 4 years to adults for our English classes. Given our location in Nyon, in the heart of the Swiss Lake Geneva region, our students represent a diverse range of cultures and nationalities.
Our staff consists of highly-qualified experienced teachers with university degrees in English, Art, Music, and other subjects.

Melisa Zeqiraj
Antoine and Marie Pierre Dubost, brother and sister, have been working in the field of education since 2001. Antoine studied in Oklahoma (USA) and since 2001 has been developing e-learning solutions in various training fields. Marie Pierre has studied up to 5 modern languages (English, German, Russian, Spanish and Arabic), and enjoys travelling and discovering different cultures. Co-managers of Dokent, Antoine and Marie Pierre took over The Chatterbox in 2023, and are looking forward to continuing to develop training activities for kids and adults in English and other languages.
Emily is from the UK and has been teaching languages creatively to children, teens and adults for more than 10 years. She has a degree in French and English and a Master’s degree in Russian, Translating, and Interpreting. In her spare time, she is an artist.
Tayna, a dedicated educator with 25 years of experience in English Language and Literature. As a mother of two and a seasoned professional, she excels in personalized teaching methods, specializing in general and business English, pronunciation, vocabulary building, and exam preparation (IELTS, TOEFL). Tayna holds Master’s degrees in English Language and Literature, as well as Psychology. Beyond education, Tayna enjoys mindfulness, reading, singing, and playing badminton.
Melisa has a BA in English Language and Literature and is a certified English teacher with extensive experience teaching English to children of all ages as well as adults.
Melisa is also our placement coordinator and administrative assistant, ensuring that children are placed in the right learning groups. In her leisure time, she enjoys travelling and is a skilled chef.
